Fischer had no idea he was autistic when he married Amy in February 2018. He did, however, get an official diagnosis after an online evaluation. Amy mentioned that the diagnosis compelled them to research more about a disease that affects a number of individuals in the United States.

After nearly four years of marriage to Fischer, the comedian admitted that having sex is difficult “because they’re your family” and that she can’t talk filthy anymore because “he knows me too well.”

Schumer opted to emulate DeGeneres’ unisex style and characteristic blonde cropped hairstyle for her appearance on the show, with the two even trading roles at one point, which saw the comic taking on the role of interviewer for a moment.

Schumer’s visit on DeGeneres’ show was not the first time she mentioned her husband’s autism. While appearing on an episode of “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in 2019, the comic shed some light on the disorder.

She stated that many individuals avoided obtaining an autistic test because they did not want to be ostracized if it got discovered that they were on the spectrum.
