West Coast California The U.S. Sees A Future Love As Underground Tunnel To Open With New Century City Hotel!
"When the Fairmont Century Plaza opens this summer following a $2.5 billion redevelopment, there will be no shortage of focal points. Among them, a 14,000-square-foot spa, four dining options, a guest-exclusive private rooftop pool and bar, and 63 luxury residences. But there's another feature that's sure to see a lot of traffic once Hollywood events are up and running and industry insiders are fully back in their offices — especially those across the street at 2000 Avenue of the Stars, home to CAA. For the first time in more than five years, the underground tunnel that connects that building to the Century Plaza will be fully reopened, allowing anyone with access to the office building to shuffle to and fro.Hotel access via the tunnel had been closed during the massive remodel, and once it opens, guests will enter into an area between the lobby and the ballroom on a floor that also allows for access to the Fairmont Spa at Century Plaza — one of the largest spas in Beverly Hills. "Anybody in that building looking for a lunchtime reservation at Lumière, our new Californian French Brasserie, or a spa treatment will have very easy access and a private entrance to the hotel. It's an added benefit for both of us," says Paul Sposare, director of sales and marketing, of the hotel and their neighbors across the way. "We want CAA staff and talent to always feel welcome and have the privacy they deserve."It will surely see a lot of traffic, especially when the hotel is hosting events in its remodeled, 13,000-plus-square-foot ballroom, a key feature of the hotel thanks to a capacity of 1,512. It is expected to one of the busier event spaces as it will be the largest ballroom in the entire city. Says Sposare: "There are a lot of people clamoring to get in."" - Hollywoodreporter.com
