"Demi Lovato just shared some major news with her 76.2 million Instagram followers.
The “Sober” singer revealed her return to the stage with a performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards, marking the first time she’s performed live since her overdose in 2018. (Unless you count a karaoke performance captured on cellphones in December.)
“I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing,” Lovato, 27, posted around noon Tuesday. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer added a Grammys hashtag and tagged CBS and the Recording Academy for good measure.
Her comment — which racked up more than 153,000 likes in 25 minutes — was a flashback to Dec. 4 when she posted an all-black image captioned, “The next time you hear from me, I’ll be singing….”
Lovato has been open about her ongoing mental-health issues and addiction battle which ultimately led to her overdose and rehab stint. She also recently ended her relationship with model boyfriend Austin Wilson.
“She’s concentrating on herself and her work right now, as well as focusing on her relationship with God,” a source told People at the time. “She’s excited for what this next chapter in 2020 will bring.”
Lovato’s reps did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment but, apparently, she is ready to get back to work.
The 62nd annual Grammy Awards telecast airs at 8 p.m. Jan. 26 on CBS. Alicia Keys is set to return as the host." - Hollywoodreporter.com
