In similar fashion to Regina Spektor, 1990's/early 2000's young legend alt-rockers Incubus strutted their eternal hit song “Drive” on thee Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The boys ethereally and beautifully strutted their dynamic chemistry with an acoustic guitar melody and velvet plush harmonies brought to us by cutie-patootie Brandon Boyd.
“Whatever tomorrow brings/I’ll be there with open arms and open eyes,” and boy did Brandon inject much soul and promise as he reached the chorus at fever high pitch.
“Drive” is off Incubus’ 1999 juggernaut hit record, Make Yourself, which also featured other classics hit tunes, “Stellar” and “Pardon Me.” Although “Drive” wasn't unleashed as a single until November 2000 and didn’t see much success until the following year in March. Ultimately peaking at Number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Incubus shall soon be popping champagne splashes as they gear up to honor and celebrate their 20th anniversary of Make Yourself with a 39-date North American tour coming this Autumn. The gigs jazz out starting September 13th in Denver, Colorado.
