Thee uncomparable highlighter of this years 2019 Grammy Awards was undoubtedly the beautifully mastered and instant iconic performance from the young legend St. Vincent and pop kitten Dua Lipa! Styled in matching sleek black and white futuristic industrial pop goddess vibes, these gals came to teach all the boys and girls at the Grammy playground how it's done.
A born with talent that only two like-minded artists could evoke such chemistry for a more astounding and triumphant Grammy performance. Intertwining their respective tunes “Masseduction” and “One Kiss” in an even more unexpected yet enthralling and enchanting medley.
This was a ginormous night for both rockstars as well. St. Vincent won Best Rock Song for “Masseduction,” and her 2017 album MASSEDUCTION had taken home Best Recording Package. While deservingly so, Dua Lipa took home 2 statues for Best New Artist and Best Dance Recordings featuring Calvin Harris.
Now, while all this was unraveling, what was St. Vincent also conjuring up? Well, she also unleashed a brand new spankin' musique video for her smash tune “Masseduction”.
“Masseduction” is another stellar gem that only an artist like St.Vincent could produce. Innate. Unique. Hypnotizing. The musique video is a minding-bending meditation post-apocalyptic vision of Salvador Dali like surrealist yummy work of art. St. Vincent jams her electric fingertips strutting a hat that has multiple hand props framing her face, as atomic explosions detonate around the surrounding environment. There's also wild fun faceless dancers jazzing out in red-wigs in front of mushroom clouds.
