Lion Babe Unleash Upcoming 'Cosmic Wind’ LP With Dancilicious ‘The Wave’ Musique Video

Back in April of 2018, New York funk-soul twosome, Lion Babe unleashed a yummy sunny funky, psychedelic dance floor ready groovy tune entitled “The Wave”. Well, the saying good things come to those who wait may be quite stretch in this particular case. Nonetheless this saucy super duper far out buttery song now has an equally stellar musique video to accompany it.

The new musique video features Brooklyn rapper Leikeli47, whom originally appears on the studio version. Thee forthcoming album, Cosmic Wind, finds the vivacious lead songstress Jillian Hervey and the hunky dory muscian Lucas Goodman find an impeccable dance sequence alongside dancers as a kaleidoscope of ethereal images surround their choreographed number.

“Everybody’s moving through the wave,” chants Jilian Hervey. “Feel the thunder in the bass line,” she continues.

“With ‘The Wave’ we wanted to create a fun vibe that anyone could move and sing to. It has a classic groove funk type of vibe, with a blend of modern and vintage sonics. We hope listeners feel good and get moving through the wave when they hear this one. The trippy, retro-tipped style of the visual brings up nostalgia from Deee-Lite’s ‘Groove Is In the Heart,’ meets Barbarella with a little Soul Train. It’s funky and fun and was made to universally evoke smiles.”

The tune was chosen by the American Heart Association as the official tune for their “Kids Heart Challenge,” a 'nationwide physical education initiative aimed to get kids in participating schools dancing as a means of heart-healthy exercise and raise funds for the organization’s life-saving mission.'

Lionbabe also shared in a press release about their upcming record, Cosmic Wind, due out March 29th. The follow-up to their 2016 debut album, Begin, the group says their second time around is more cohesive than their prior one.

“It's a more defined pure version of their sound. We didn’t have much experience yet with writing and making records, so there was a lot trial and error, and having to learn quick [with Begin]. There was also a lot of label push to influence our sound and who we worked with. Now that we’re independent, we are able take full control and create a project that is 100 percent us." Spilled thee eccentric chanteuse.

“Cosmic Wind is us in our new zone. This album is in our vision to the fullest. We’ve brought on producers/artists/musicians who are good friends of ours and part of our core team, who’ve helped us take the music to the next level, embracing the sound we first began with.”

Without further ado, get into the groove with the latest ItsNotYouItsMe musique video hit parade with Lion Babe and their newest visuals "The Wave".
