From Gangsta rap to Kendrick: Renowned Los Angeles photographer unveils 'California Love' exhibit that pays homage to West Coast Hip Hop scene over the last 30 years

According to one of our most preffered sources:

"An internationally acclaimed photographer from Los Angeles is showcasing just under 30 years of photographs depicting the prominence of the West Coasthip-hopp scene.

Mike Miller's 'California Love' highlights dominating figures throughout the hay-day of the West Coast hip hop scene.

A Westside native, Miller first entered the hip hop world when he snapped the Arabian Prince's album art in 1989.

The exhibit includes back-in-the-day images of artist like Eazy-E, Snoop Dogg and Tupac.

Rapper Ice-T is captured in the midst of a 1988 concert at the height of the 'gangsta' rap.

New York rapper A$AP Rocky even makes a brief appearance in the photos, showing the evolution and scope of the hip hop scene that evolved nationwide.

The exhibit also shows images of the West Coast throughout the years in efforts to depict the setting that gave rise to such an influential aspect of hip hop culture.

Miller, 54, lives in Los Angeles now and his work has been featured in exhibits that recently include the New York Public Library and The Oakland Museum of California.

'California Love' is running from September 8 until November 3 with M+B Photos in Los Angeles and is Miller's first solo exhibit with the company.

The gallery is open from Tuesday to Saturday, and appointments to view the exhibit." - Dailymail.co.uk
