He's already gained massive amounts of adoration in the UK, Germany, and Switzerland while selling out headlining shows. Per usual since our conception onto this earth we've always had a visceral connection and chemistry with the Brits. Having traveled and grown-up with more English pop culture influence than American, it's easy to understand why we can't stop tipping our top-hat enough for Jalen N'Gonda.
Jalen moved to Liverpool to pursue a music career, a bold strut which seems to be working judging by his manifesting social media following. The singer-songwriter began writing music at the tender age of 11, inspired by his father’s music collection, components of which can be obviously heard in ‘We Fell out of Love’.
He's got a bit of fellow newbie artist Leon Bridges, Raphael Saadiq vibe yet creating a modern day, jazz-soul and funk-pop feel. Textured keyboards and guitars, create an electric energy. The singer has described the single as the following: "It's very ‘60s Rolling Stones-inspired musically. The lyrics were inspired by Cilla Black's ‘Step Inside Love.' I wanted to write the opposite of what she was singing about."
Hit play and refresh while rebirthing your soul with "We Fell Out Of Love" and fall into love with Jalen N'Gonda and his forthcoming debut EP, coming to a neighborhood near you.
