A timeless voice as well as a timeless beauty. Although taxes and finances aren't her cup of tea. R&B/Pop Legend Toni Braxton has unleashed her Sex & Cigarettes LP, along with her rain-soaked musique video for “Long As I Live.”
The Mike Ho-directed video takes place on a stormy night as Toni sings tragically reflecting on how things used to be with a former ex. She struts in the middle of the downpour but don't fret Toni isn't going through heartache alone because she's joined by her sisters Towanda and superstar in her own right, vocal rarity Tamar Braxton!
Toni is truly officially back yall. Toni's come with soulful guns fully loaded. This is her first solo record in nearly a decade, and the first o!fficial video single for “Long As I Live,” is fire. It matches the tunes sultry but yet light and soulful groove.
It has the signature smoky tone that only if your last name is Braxton can you truly obtain. You get all that yummy soaring, one of a kind growl magic power. The release of her record will see a summer tour ahead. So we look forward to a big promotional push on her end, set with warm luscious performances. Braxton also co-wrote and co-produced all the songs including this gem on her album.
Braxton's last full project was 2014’s Love, Marriage, and Divorce, a collaboration with Babyface, and prior to that, her last solo work was Pulse, which came out in 2010. The single and backing album marks the 25th anniversary of the seven-time Grammy winner's debut in the music industry -- a benchmark she promises to celebrate with a spring tour, according to a press release.
