Charlie Puth Visits Billboard's "How It Went Down"




What happens when you get inspiration from a Fat Albert cartoon and a black n white retro-vintage Mickey Mouse? Specifically when the mouse drops a piano in thee animated skit? (naturally of course) You get creative genius singer-songwriter producer and all around hunky dory stud of an entertainer, Charlie Puth. Hearing melodies in his head and making the rest up as he goes along, he intertwines the kick drum to match the lyrics and viola his current latest single "How Long" was manifested.

Now comes thee intriguing part gal and gents. Charlie recalls the early beginning stages of thee recording, “I was just about to go on tour with my buddy Shawn Mendes, and I put on Hall & Oates…and I was like, 'Okay, I wanna make a record like that.’”;R buddies, telling him, “Wouldn’t it be cool, like if there was a song called ‘How Long Has This Been Going On?’

And well you get this super sleek bouncy ditty...and thee rest is music magical history!
