After a her divorce from her husband of a decade, Bjork has reimerged for the new album Utopia and the single "The Gate." In an interview with Dazed magazine the Icelandic godess explained that the new album "it's about that search (for utopia) – and about being in love. Spending time with a person you enjoy is when the dream becomes real."
The video is directed by Andrew Thomas Huang and made in collaboration with Gucci’s Alessandro Michele in a futuristic-fantasy setting with two lovers exchanging a spiritual orb. In an interview with Nowness.com Huang explains the video concept - "The Gate is essentially a love song, but I say ‘love’ in a more transcendent way. Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that’s even greater. It’s about rediscovering love—but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word."
Check out the video below as Bjork is much more visible physically than she has been in years, almost childlike and carefree. Enter The Gate.
