KIMMY.J Fall/Winter 2016 Lookbook
“What we are facing in our society now is not a problem solely derived from our government. We are responsible for it as well as a member of this society.”
"KIMMY.J wanted to send a message to people through an imaginary creature which symbolizes justice/ judgement/ warning itself. It is called #dokkabee, which has a face mixed with a Korean tiger and an imaginary animal, Hatae, known as a monster which judges and punishes bad people in asian mythology. You can find spectacular #dokkaebee embroidery on jackets and other garments. They have used silk fabric with Korean traditional prints and high-qulaity faux fur in rich color to add some more boldness.
In terms of silhouette, most of the items were designed to fit loose like the workers’ outfits in 1980s as you can see through a reversible short jacket made with Korean traditional fabric and Sukajan, a stadium jacket with bold oriental embroidery." - Fuckingyoung.es
