It's official: fall 2014 is the Season of Barbie. A version of the doll dressed to look like designer Karl Lagerfeld hit Net-a-Porter on Monday and is already sold out.
Net-a-Porter confirms it had 999 units of the Barbie to sell worldwide at the original retail price of $200. It's not hard to believe that they sold out, as the combination of "Karl Lagerfeld" and "Limited Edition" pretty much guarantees must-have status amongst fashion fans.
But thanks to the magic of resale, you can still get your paws on one via eBay. It'll cost you, though: The lowest listed starts bidding at $900 and other listings go up to $3,500.
If you're not willing to enter a bidding war, you can still get your hands on that Jeremy Scott for Moschino Barbie collection. And Karl Lagerfeld's Choupette collection is due to hit stores next month.
