Its a sad day in comedy and fashion as the legendary comedienne Joan Rivers has passed from complications sustained after sudden cardiac arrest during surgery in New York City days prior.
As children of the 80's we grew up seeing Joan on the Tonight Show as its first female guest host, The Joan Rivers Show, on Hollywood Squares throughout its airing, and even working the 9 - 5 with Miss Piggy. But most for memorable will be her years of Oscar Red Carpet coverage that had all the A list stars on edge with Joan's quick wit and tell it like it is questions and the entertaining and bold fashion reviews with her after shows especially with her comeback in the 2010's with E!'s Fashion Police where a new generation discovered the abrasively funny but honest comedienne once again.We are lost knowing we will no longer tune in and see that lovable face and hear that familiar voice on our tv screens but we will forever be Joan Rangers in our hearts. Rest In Peace.
