It has been sometime since we've been treated to new music by ItsNotYouItsMe Featured Artist VV Brown (who we happily interviewed at the Virgin label wayy back in June of 2010) and seemingly out of no where in April our ears were wet with underground pleasure beginning with the House track "Bullet." Now, a video for the single "Samson" has been released from VV's upcoming sophomore album entitled, Samson & Delilah.
"Samson" and "Bullet" are a departure from the quirky indie pop sounds and lyrics we grew to know VV for. But now, we can appreciate and eagerly anticipate the new darker and moodier sounds that have naturally arisen, as no one ever stays the same physically nor mentally (or as the creatives ones never do)...and in VV's case, it's musically apparent.
The video is a collaborate effort by Met Film School graduate Jessica Hughes and current students creating a black and white, cleanly filmed, modern Samson and Delilah story line parred perfectly with the new track.
VV is quoted from DigitalSpy.com on her current influence in music "My tastes really changed and matured since my first album. Björk is basically everything I aspire to be. She is, to me, the queen."
Ahh VV you are already a queen! We cannot wait to hear more tunes from Samson & Delilah. So without further adieu, we are pleased to present "Samson" below.
