Eddie Borgo‘s just-launched jewelry boxes are like the chicest caboodles we’ve ever seen. Of course, we’re probably just blinded by ’90s nostalgia. Borgo modeled his jewelry boxes after classic train cases. They were handcrafted in Italy and come embellished in exotic skins like snakeskin, something called “terra lizard,” crocadile and shagreen. Gold triangle details along the borders mimic Borgo’s signature spiked jewelry. So basically, these are the opposite of that plastic caboodle you had when you were 13.
But Borgo saw a clear need for them. “Most of my girlfriends keep their jewelry on doorknobs, hanging from nails on the wall, on the corner of a mirror, or (in rare instances) in a drawer,” he said. “It was something that I have begun to notice more often since I began designing jewelry on my own. Everyone wants to show you their jewelry collections.”
Oh to have an Eddie Borgo jewelry box and enough Eddie Borgo jewelry to fill it with…
It’s a really big ask but it would make a lovely holiday gift. They’re available for (only!) $2000 on EddieBorgo.com and the blue shagreen one is already sold out. So, you know, you gotta move fast!-fashionista
