Raf Simons’ presented his highly anticipated debut collection for Dior Couture last week (to rave reviews) but we’re still talking about it. We just noticed this behind-the-scenes video Dior posted of the flowers being installed for the show. Over one million were used. The installation process took four days, with workers shoving in delicate orchids and delphiniums by hand right up until showtime. And for all you flora-files (is that a thing?), we asked Dior for the breakdown of all the flowers used, per room:
Salon Bleu: Delphinium Salon Dior: Peony, Roses, Garden Roses, Zinnia, Dalhia, Campanula, Achilliea Salon Jaune: Solidago (Golden Rods) Salon Blanc: Queen Anne’s Lace, Orchids, Pipettes Salon Rouge: Orchids, Celosia, Roses, Achillea (Yarrow) - Via Fashionista.com
