1960's Archuve: Cliff Richards By David Bailey
British pop singer, actor, entrepreneur and all-around philanthropist, Cliff Richard was shot by renowned fashion photographer from the 20th century, David Bailey, whom also happens to be no stranger to our pages under our "Vintage Story" posts.
A black and white stylistic portrait (shot sometime in the 60's) with an intense angle and severe eye make-up produced an outstanding and yet almost eerie photo opt! Bravito, As I tip my hat off to sir David Bailey for this super stellar shot.
Here is Richard's along with then band 'The Shadows' performing their 1958 hit tune 'Move It' which is "often described as Britain's first authentic rock and roll song, and John Lennon once claimed that "before Cliff and the Shadows, there had been nothing worth listening to in British music."
Tune: 'Bachelor Boy' from 1963.
Tune: Devil Woman from 1976.
