Titanic's Gloria Stuart Has Passed Away
Gloria Stuart, American stage, television and film actress whom appeared in over 40 films in the 1930s has passed away. Some 60 years after her hayday and at the age of 87, Miss Stuart received a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal of the 101 year old Rose DeWitt Bukater in the classic and once biggest film in history (before being topped by Avatar)"Titanic"!
The Washington Post wrote that Gloria, who's been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is also recognized as the oldest actress to ever be nominated for an Academy Award!
Gloria wrote in her auto-biography..."When I graduated from Santa Monica High in 1927, I was voted the girl most likely to succeed, I Just Kept Hoping. I didn’t realize it would take so long."
