People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals, held their 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards over the weekend in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium, hosted by Alec Baldwin.
PETA awarded Humanitarian Awards to Eli Roth, Olivia Munn, Christian Serratos, Dave Navarro, Joanna Krupa, Emily and Rose McCoy, Kellan Lutz, Charo, Lea Michele, Eva Mendes and Anjelica Huston.
Other Peta activist seen were Iggy Pop with Nina Alu, Shirley Manson, Kelly Osbourne, and Joaquin Phoenix amongst others.
Recipients of the nights awards, Nanci Alexander Award went to Christina Cho, while the Bea Arthur Activist Award went to Dan Neri.
Also Guests were brought to tears during a moving tribute to PETA's investigators delivered by Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix. This was followed by a powerful performance by rock star Bryan Adams, who performed his hit "Everything I Do" as scenes from PETA investigations and rescues played on giant screens.
Attendees also participated in a silent auction featuring items from artists, celebrities, and companies that have a firm commitment to PETA's values. Some of the popular items included lunch with Tim Gunn of Project Runway, a five-year supply of "PETA Peanut Butter" from Peanut Butter & Co., two VIP tickets to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, dinner with Ingrid E. Newkirk, a tattoo by celebrity tattoo artist Mario Barth, a new all-electric Nissan Leaf car, and a personal training session for two with The Biggest Loser's Bob Harper.
Looks like a great event for a great cause with even greater individuals!
