Alexander McQueen was remembered in London today at a star-studded memorial service attended by celebrities including Sarah Jessica Parker, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Bjork, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and designer Stella McCartney . Taking place in the middle of London Fashion Week at the city's iconic St. Paul's Cathedral, near where McQueen grew up. It is being said that to no surprise the service resembled a fashion show as several of the late designer's friends arrived in their finest threads. It hasn't yet been a year since Alexander McQueen passed , but a special memorial service was set up in his honor. Prayers were said, remembrances were read, and Bjork sang a tribute.
In mourning we celebrate the life of the greatest fashion designer of the 21st century. SJP put it best when she said, "He showed us everything was possible, dreams could become reality." She concluded the service by saying. "But he left us with an even more exceptional legacy, a talent that soared like the birds of his childhood above us all."
