David Bailey Is As Smooth As They Come
David Bailey is considered the most stylish photographer of all time. Not only did he capture the fashions of London during "The Swinging 60s" with his camera, but he's an example of fine taste and decadence.
Bailey has proved that one can look their best while wearing a leather jacket, a Nehru shirt, or a simple pullover sweater (remember kiddas it's not only the choice of threads but also the attitude you command that makes one look top-notch). Here David Bailey is showcasing a classic simple black suit. To shake things up he opted to wear a psychedelic printed tie, which adds as the perfect contrast to his outfit.
Below watch this very interesting interview where Bailey talks about everything from John Lennon, Michael Caine to Andy Warhol. "David Bailey's photographs of 1960s celebrities defined the decade. As a retrospective of his most famous images goes on show at Bonhams, he talks to Sarfraz Manzoor about Picasso, body language and his dread of photographing modern celebrities."
