Somewhere
Elle Fanning (Dakota Fanning's younger sister) will star in Sofia Coppola’s upcoming drama "Somewhere". Starring opposite actor Stephen Dorff, the film is about a hard-living Hollywood actor that reexamines his life when his 11-year-old daughter surprisingly shows up for an extended visit.
I'm not gonna play kiddas... I’m ultra-stoked to finally hear a new project of Sofia Coppola's is coming out! It's a first since Marie Antoinette back in '06 (which is a favorite of mine), but it seems Sofia has chosen to go back to a scenario very much like the one that made a massive hit with the film 'Lost in Translation'. Remember the one which inevitably made Scarlett Johansson a bonafide movie star.
Somewhere will be in theaters on December 22, 2010.
Official Synopsis:
"Writer/director Sofia Coppola reunites with the film company with which she made the Academy Award-winning hit “Lost in Translation.” Her new film is an intimate story set in contemporary Los Angeles; Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff) is a bad-boy actor stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. With an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter (Elle Fanning), Johnny is forced to look at the questions we must all confront."
