Hollywood icon Lena Horne has passed away at the age of 92 due to illnesses caused with age. Lena Horne was an American singer, actress and dancer. She was MGM’s first leading lady of color later paving the way for all African-American actors in Hollywood. 'Horne joined the mike chorus of the Cotton Club at the age of sixteen and became a nightclub performer before moving to Hollywood, where she had small parts in numerous movies, and more substantial parts in the films Cabin in the Sky and Stormy Weather.
